8x24 Auto Answer

I have a 8x24 connected to MICS via cisco 1750 through trunk ports. The MICS works fine, however, the 8x24 when set to auto-answer it answers but gives no dial tone, this happens both on auto-answer w/ or w/out DISA. When the 8x24 anwsers it is just silence and you cannot dial any extention. I did change the ext. pattern to 3.. rather than 2..

The Auto DN and DISA DN will clear themselves and require reprogramming if the system DN length changes.

Ensure the configured line is not in a pool or set with an external access code.

Check connections in other ways.

The line auto-answer but still give no dial-tone and you cannot enter any extenion or external code. It is just silence than after the sup-diconn timeout fast busy tone. I need the line to give me dialtone.

Do you have E&M / DTMF line cards intalled? I believe you need them to set up DISA on an 8X24

LoopStart, I'm not setting the auto-answer with Disa, just auto-answer.

Right,a but you still want the system to return dail tone, and you will be sending DTMF signals to the 8x24. Because of that you will need the E&M/DTMF card/s.

i get dialtone on my 0x32 with a ls/ds card why not on the 8x24? There are no e&m cards in the 0x32. I'm not looking for autoanswer with disa, just auto-answer.
