Hi,

I've just done my CCNA and want to progress to the CCNP. I would like to use an 857 as my live home router. I was thinking of allowing smtp, dns, dhcp, http, and https through all the time, then using a relexive access list to allow everything else through as needed.

I know its not good enough for a business, but is it alright for home use?

Thanks

what makes you doubt about the home use.
what you are planning to do is fine.
