I got a trouble ticket on users that cant dial 855 area code. This is a fairly new toll free area code. These toll free calls go out their local COT route which is copper trunks. I have nailed down the issue but was hoping their was an easier solution. The users with this issue are TLD in CLS. If I make them UNR the call goes out. I have 855 built as an NPA just like 800 but 800 works. I changed 855 to an SPN and still have the same problem. It's like this 4.5 system doesn't know that 855 is toll free. Any ideas?

I thought TLD blocked all 1+ numbers, including 1800? I'm wondering how 1800 is working. I'm gonna make my phone TLD and test.

Made my phone TLD and nothing 1+ worked, including 1800. I received ERR404 which states "No default tree exists". Do you have some sort of tree built in LD 49 and 1855 has to be added?

Go to LD 49 and PRT, FCR, and see if you have any CRNO tables built that would explain your issue.

There are FCR entries. Not sure I understand how those work. Here they are.

I added 1855 to CRNO 1 and it works. I have never used ld 49 but I appreciate all the help. This one had me going.

Thanks guys

How does this FCR table relate to my phones or trunks?

I'm in the same boat as you on this. I knew about these tables but have never configured them. Best I can tell, these have to do with the CLS of the set.

I know if you have a CLS of CTD and try to make a toll call using the Route ACOD rather than BARs, you get the same ERR404 message stating "default tree doesn't exist".

I've just never took the time to build a CRNO table and play with this "feature".

I found all the info in the Feature Guide under New Flexible Code Restriction. I have never seen this used before. Learn something every day.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I think this problem is related to some technical issue which mainly occurs when toll free number don’t allow a call from a particular region or device. So I think this area code applies these privileges for your numbers.
