850DP out of paper

I'm getting an out of paper error message, even though the
tray has 40-50 pages remaining. Only has the one upper
tray. Anyone got an idea about this?

Check to make sure the media plug is on the paper tray. Right hand front corner. In should be in the top hole for 8 1/2x11.

Thanks nulldev, but having owned this machine for almost two years and having replaced that little thing 4 or 5 times, it was the first thing I checked and it was intact.

Any other ideas?
