I am getting the front paper jam. Doesn't matter what I do, the jam message remains. The machine is bloacked with the red light on. The paper jammed while doing a test and I have now got the multi-coloured 'quilt' peeling from my drum. My maintenance kit is coming to the end of its life and I have a new one. I can't see the white/black bit that should be in front of the maintenance kit. Everything looks beige.

I found the solution !!
I was dreading taking the machine back to the sole Xerox dealership here - they sold me as new a machine which had already printed nine thousand sheets and that was defective. A Xerox dealership that didn't realise there was a paper count on the machine ! Dishonest AND incompetent !
I managed to speak to a technician who advised me to use heavyweight paper to clean the paper run. So with the machine turned off I inserted thick paper via tray 1 and pushed it as far as possible. Lo and behold, when the machine was turned back on, the open front cover message had disappeared.

Check the DM pivot plate and the DM camshaft.... IF one is bad your supposed to replace both.... the pivot plate should be black not white or beige and the camshaft lobes should not be cracked at all....
