840 and 850 parts interchangeable?

Will the extended maintenance kit for the 840 work in the 850?

I'd say this is a hard one to answer. Simply because Xerox says that the 840 & 850 use the same Standard Maint Kit, they have the same part number. However, the Extended Maint kit for each of these printer have differnt part numbers. The reason for this, is that the Standard kits on both ate 10,000 pages. The Extended Kit for the 840 is 30,000 pages, where the Extended Kit for the 850 is 45,000 pages.

Now, I can't honestly say that I'm sure it won't work. Or it may not recognize it correctly because of the counter.

Maintenance kits are interchangeable

i have two 840,s and an 850 and have been swapping bits to make a good unit.. i have been changing the maint kits over with no problems
