Hi- Would there be anything different about the initial install of System Platform on an s8300E than a D? I'm not getting any replies from 192.11.13.6 from the services port. I'm using a Digistor ROM which I've used countless times to build the D model. I've tried various media (burnt copy/original), used different cross over cables and this is the same laptop I've always used. I'm trying to build this in a spare G350 and not sure if that's the issue. That's the only thing I haven't tried. The DVD drive is getting power from the MM as well. Appreciate any assistance.

what version of system platform? I thought only the later ones 6.3.4 or 6.3.7+ would even boot the S8300Es...

I tried with v6.3.7. I guess I can try another disc one last time. The only other thing I can try is put this MM in a G450, which I don't think would be an issue.

Do you notice the DVD spinning up and reading from the disk for around 30 - 60 seconds after your S8300E resets? It should be accessing the DVD to boot and then load the installer and typically you can see the DVD being accessed at this time. I have seen the USB ports acting up if it is drawing too much power right when the S8300E initializes. You might try waiting a few seconds to plug in the USB DVD drive after the S8300E initially is rebooted or inserted into the G350. I wouldn't think it would make any difference in a G350 vs. G450 since the services port is on the faceplate of the S8300E it is a direct Ethernet port and doesn't have to go through the Media Gateway.

I was finally able to get through this.. To be honest I'm not sure what actually did the trick. I did create a new clean disc and tried 2 different Avaya DVD ROM drives. After a few attempts it finally kicked off. Had the same issue when installing the template and after a few attempts it installed. Very odd.
