Well, i'm planning on taking the ccna in mid july. Got couple questions, maybe you guys can help.

1. If you have taken the 801 before, are there many questions regarding IPX and/or Appletalk details?

2. What topics showed up the most to you?

NahRamp2,

When Cisco dropped the CCNP stuff into the CCNA several years ago (OSPF, VLSM, NAT/PAT etc.) they dropped the Novel (IPX) stuff - at very least you might see "IPX" as a wrong answer :)

Same for Appletalk, you might see it as a wrong answer but the CCNA pretty much sticks to TCP/IP on what was several years ago the "new" 801 exam.

Hope this helps!

That is true---in fact, Novell has pretty much migrated to tcp/ip as their routed protocol.

From what I encountered the last test I took consisted of mostly VLAN, frame relay, one ACL sim, one switch VLAN simlet, and general networking questions, e.x. OSI, troubleshooting layer 1. This was two weeks ago.
