I have an 800 number that is not programmed anywhere on our phone switch that I can see, however when I call it, it goes to our ACD Que as it should.

I have a request to add another 800 number into the que. Without creating a phatom phone, how would I perform this action? Maybe using the DNIS??

Yes, if you have dedicated LD, then when the order is placed, the provider will ask you for a DNIS. point that DNIS that you give them to the CDN of the ACD Queue you want it to go to.

The problem with that is that we already have an available 800 number that has a DNIS # assigned to it. How do I perform this action with this already in place? Also the other 800 number has been setup in an IDC table and is pointing to the ACD que. When we add the other 800 number to the IDC table, but it does not ring into the que.

Resolved issue. I was trying to add a new IDC table vs just adding the 800 number to the existing one.

Thanks!

you put the dnis in the same idc table and sent it to the acd que. do a quick change and send it to your phone, better for testing.. two possible problems, the dnis is not coming in on the same route, the dnis is not coming in at all..

a maxp 1 acd is a quick and easy forward, used for sending any number, internal or external to the ncfw.. 4 prompts used.. acd dn, cust, maxp and ncfw. you can change the ncfw, you can out that acd and put the number on a set.. it's a great way to send a dnis to a voice service or the an acd-dn.. idc is better if you want the switch to see the output side of the idc... i have used idc to translate external, then added a maxp 1 acd for internal, sending ex to an acd group and internal to a menu

I actually like that idea. So you saying that since I used the IDC it will show the DNIS that's assigned to it on the display? How do I set this up? I know how to create an ACD que, but not sure if I am following you on the maxp 1 acd for internal. Basically the idc is used to translate external calls to a certain number? Where can I find the programming for that? I print the IDC table is ld 49, but it only shows something like 7370 555.

no the idc output will show if anything shows.. the clid of the calling party should show

If you have a 800 number working already properly and your looking to add a second 800 to the same ACD cue just have your carrier change the DNIS of the new 800 to match the one that is working.
