8.8 to 8.9 software upgrade

What sort of issues does this software upgrade produce if any?

Also, what items shall I ask NICE to look at when they upgrade?

Also, can anyone explain what exactly is NICE upgrading?

It seems I ask NICE themselves and there is never a clear answer...

Try being a little more specific and someone might be able to help you.
 
the procedure is pretty straight forward.

The things to look for is the cls database you have on mssql 7, as the 8.9 is on 2000.

Are you providing a new server or are you upgrading existing one as if a new server is involved the cls and audit and registry require backing up and then installing on new box before upgrading to new 8.9 version. the upgrade kit from nice will include all the software you require once you state youre requirements
 
When we upgraded from 8.8 to 8.9 we ran into a landslide of problems that cause 3 of our techs to quit and the IT manager to resign. The problems are now on my plate and I'm weeding them out 1 by 1 but like I said, 8.8 ran fine. We only started encountering issues (can't search by agent, nortel errors, random days where there will be no audio) when we ran the upgrade. However, every shop is going to be set up in their own specific way. Your setup may benefit from the upgrade where ours did not.
 
what problems are you encountering post upgrade and I will be able to assist you. No upgrade goes smooth but every site can be tweaked
 
hard rive issues, adif channel board errors, problems starting logger after replacement of known hard drive issue. thats all I experienced from 8.8 to 8.9 funny I am looking at this now and seeing the issues you experienced Long beach.
