A problem with no data being returned has started occuring with Crystal 8.5 OLE Db connecting to an SQL cluster. I develop new reports on my PC, (Win XP). I also edit existing reports which I copy off of our report server to my PC. The reports run fine in our application for endusers, but when I run them in Crystal, I get the following problems:
A blank report using the exact parameters as in our application. Saving the report by clicking the save icon or from the 'file/save..' option does not gray the save icon out. There is nothing in the left hand pane. Clicking to the designer view and back to display will change the number of returns in the bottom right hand corner, yet the report is still blank. The 'next page' arrows are enabled, but won't gray when the last page arrow is clicked. When I close the report, I get the "Save changes?" pop-up, but clicking 'yes' does nothing. Upon clicking "Show SQL Query", the query does not display. I have set my Db location, verified the Db, checked connectivity in the Data Link Properties. I would have pasted in here my record selection, but this is happening with the most simple queries. I'm thinking my CR program is corrupt. The only real changes to my PC are Java destalls and installs. Any ideas? Should I just reinstall Crystal?
