We are adding a new IP500v2 8.1 to a SCN that has a 8.0 system at the centre. It does not seem to be routing calls, from the new site, even though the SCN is up.

SysMonitor shows an error: "Cause=38, Network out of order 38"

I had read once that as long as systems in an SCN were within one major revision, there would not be a problem with SCN. Does this still apply?

Did you reboot all IP Offices in the SN after adding the 8.1 system?
Network out of order means there is no channel available to setup a call.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Thanks intrigrant, I have rebooted the 8.0 central switch and the new 8.1.

The 406 that we are replacing, had no network issues from this location, when using short codes to access the IP trunks.
What is puzzling is that the SYSMONITOR shows that the SCN is working.
Both systems are receiving advertisements etc.
