So this is weird. Over the weekend I upgraded our system to 8.0.10 from 8.0 ur3. Everything was fine expect for the devices or components that use SIP. Now the 5302 phone is flashing and the quick conference server wont work. The config is still there for the devices. No new alarms either. Is there a gotcha that I missed? Im pretty frustrated and about to restore my system back to 8.0 ur3. Has anyone noticed any hiccups on this version or upgrading to this version yet

Yes, I had issues with sets out of the box not recognizing the boot load supplied with UR4. I had to first connect the sets to a UR3 system before they would boot on UR4.

I've stopped using UR4 and am waiting for the next patch load.

so I called support at about 4:30 pm cst. The guy kept helping me troubleshoot the issue. I ran wireshark and found that Sip register message were making it to and from the ICP but there was an ICMP message coming back from the ICP indicating port 5060 is unavailible. So at about 6:30 the guy said he was gonna escalate the case.Since it was afterhours I went ahead and rebooted the controller. Sure enough a simple reboot fixed it.

So this was just another reboot after the 2-3 reboots the upgrade process performs? What method did you use to perform the upgrade?

I had some issues with SDS not working correctly after using the SI Tool to upgrade from 8.0 UR1 to UR3, had to reboot every 3300 to get it working again, trying to find out if I need to do the same when we go to UR4.

I used the SW installer tool also to upgrade the system. I had to do one extra reboot.

Which SI option did you use? Upgrade or Full Install? Online or Offline upgrade?

there are a few issues with 5302 phones. not sure it's version related though nor always fixed by a reboot. in fact rebooting may exacerbate the issue. i think the intial upgrade with it's 2 or 3 reboots caused the problem in the first place.

do you have vlans on your site?

kwb when you took your phones to a system with UR3 was it a flat network? Does your site also have vlans?
