1-How can I switchover from the active processor to the standby processor?

2-How can I verify the amount of flash memory on the active processor ?

3-How can I verify the amount of flash memory on the standby processor ?

4-How can I verify the amount of RAM on the active processor ?

5-How can I verify the amount of RAM on the standby processor ?

Many thanks in advance

cisco CISCO7606 (R7000) processor (revision 1.0) with 458752K/65536K bytes of memory.

This would indicate roughly 448meg of RAM and 65meg of flash. A few lines down you'll find the same information for the standby. (Since these are in bytes, you need to divide by 1024 to get the traditional figure of megabytes).

One other item of concern, though, is that you appear to have mis-matched IOS versions. This may or may not be a problem when switchover time comes but I have seen occasional instabilities result when the primary and secondary IOS versions don't match.

You can see the redundacny status using "sh redundancy" and to switch over between the 2 supervisors you can use "redundacny force-failover"

For this feature to work properly you need to have the same SW version and amounts of memory on each card

A small correction about memory read out for nerdmedic, the output above actaully shows 512Mb RAM and 32Mb internal SIMM flash. Cisco IOS displays RAM in Primary memory/Shared memory, and you have to add those together to have your total amount of DRAM memory.

What is the flash memory of a router is it the PCMCIA card or it is the Flash internal SIMM ??????????????

Many thanx in advance

Both, although the router will say something like 32768 MB Internal flash and 20480 Mb flash in slot 0 or disk 0
