7316 message light 2

I bought couple new 7316s and set up new ext but the message light won't turn on for message. Where should I change this setting?

Hi centrify06,
What is your software level? Do you have other T series sets that the MWI works on? It may be that you software doesn't allow for message waiting indication. Here's something I found in another thread.

Message Waiting Indication

MICS 4.1 WI 6.15 has added functionality for Message Waiting Indication (MWI) when using the new Business Series Terminals (BST). More information about the BST sets, including ordering information, can be found in ITAS TIP 255 on the ITAS web page.

Do you have 7316e's because I think the lights only work with 4.1 or higher software. Someone here should know the level.

I have some 7316 and the line are working fine.

Try the sets in a working port to make sure the lamps are working. I had 3 out of box failures with new sets.

Yes, the lamp is work on my extension but not for new user.

Did you make sure message waiting was set to Y when you built the mailbox?
