alright this is probably a stupid question but here goes.
i've recently sat my 70-210 exam and passed (yeah), i'm currently working my way though the 70-215 study material and as far as i can tell almost all of it is the same as what i had to know for 210, are the exams as similiar as they appear to be from the material i've been reading??

I took the 210 around the begfinning of the year and just took the 215 (and 216). I do feel the 210 and 215 were pretty similar. The 215 was pretty easy, especially compared to the 216.

I found the 210 and 215 to be very similar. the 215 will have in depth of the gpo's adn permissions inheritence and that sort of stuff. I took both with in two weeks of each other.

reread the objectives, know gpo and disk stuff, don't worry if you can pass transcender... but don't just rely on books and studyguides... get some practice...

I took 215 back in 2001, the key to passing it was know how to restart a failed HD. I think it was like 5 ? on it.

I took 215 2 weeks ago....LOTS of GPO policy and admin questions. I handfull of share/ntfs permission questions.

I found the 210 focused more on NTFS permissions and such, while the 215 was chock full of disk management questions.

If you master Chapter 6 of the ExamCram2 book, you're pretty much set.

Also, now how to subnet. Had a couple of questions about setting up DHCP scopes for a given number of clients. You were given the IP address you could use, but you had to know how to subnet to choose the right set of IP's for the scope.

I pass 210,215, and 218 and planning to take 224 on 12/18/2003. On 215 i got alot of policy.

I passed the 210 last year, and have been working as a Server Specialist for the past 18 months therefore gaining plenty of hands-on with building, supporting and maintenance of Windows 2000/2003 Servers & Exchange 2000/03. I took 215 in Nov 03 and unfortunately did not pass.

Now that I have done more practice with Transcenders, Sybex Study Guides, Exam Notes & Test King I feel more confident and have scheduled to take the exam on 9 Jan 04.

Is there any advise that someone can give me please?

Does new exam give you a score as a percentage?

What is % pass mark? Any ideas? 70% OK?

I also paid £3500 for MCSE 2000 @ CTEC in Manchester UK and have recently attended 216 course, and felt that it was straight forward. Is this exam similar to 215?

these days they don't say the passing score, just pass/fail; but! if you have practice tests like boson, measure-up, or transcender, I'd recommend studying the books until you can get a minimum of 80% every time... 100% is better...

Passing score is around 70%, but you don't get to know your score anymore, just pass/fail.

Know your GPO, Disk Admin, Permissions, etc. as mentioned above.

Yes passed it. They do give you a score report and it tells you your areas of weaknesses & strengths. Passing score is exactly 70% (not around).

Scores are apparently back!!! I got one too on 70-219 last Saturday... not to brag but my score was well above the minimum... (ok, ok, so it's an easy test)

reread the microsoft requirements and remember that security can be combined with any other items... Transcender helped me focus...
