7.6.300b and default printer question

[mystifying]

We just upgraded from 7.6.200a to 7.6.300b and are having problems with selecting printers. We have some here that print certain reports on printers different than default, and we also have some we print to a pdf file. Since upgrading, nothing but the actual default printer seems to work. Is there a solution for this?

Just in case it is needed, we are on a SQL based system running on Win2003 Server.

Perhaps your print default file is corrupt. Try rebuilding it. If not, I sometimes have to make the print that I want to capture the default, capture it in the normal way, then I can set my default back. Printing has been a bit of trouble for a long time, I suppose tring to bypass windows default printing is a bit tricker then it would seem.

I know it's a pain to establish all of the defaults again, but sometimes it's easiest to simply intialize the print defaults file (PRINTDFT).

Thanks for the suggestions. We tried rebuilding the print default file and it did seem to help. We were still having trouble printing to a pdf, but then realized there was now an option to export to pdf and our third party pdf printer ulility was no longer needed. So everything is good and we are rolling along rather smoothly. Thanks for the tips!!
