D-day. There are some references on previous threads to payroll check printing problems. Is this true on pervasive & SQL both? Is it still a problem? Since macola says we must update PR clients for W2 & tax tables before year end, it would be a good thing to be able to print a check, eh?

I have to do a site next week that has 700 employees & am thinking about installing a "pilot" instead of updating their live system if there is enough information out in the field to indicate caution here. Thanks in advance.

My apporach onthis has been to update the customer the day after a payroll, then immediately perform a small payroll on test data, even if its only 5 or 6 checks. This way, if there is a problem, then you have nearly 2 weeks to deal with it.

The last 2 times I did this the problem with the payroll check took about half an hour to correct. The first time I did this is took 6 hours.

I Have been through all the pains and woes of 7.6.200 in payroll, I was one of the first sites in my area to go 7.6.200 MSSQL, all of the printing issues in PR are fixed and out there on the website availible for download. Keep your head and you'll be fine.
