Hi.

I am receiving the following error report messages nearly every day lately (but at different times):

IDENTIFIER TIMESTAMP T C RESOURCE_NAME DESCRIPTION
BFE4C025 0519095003 P H sysplanar0 UNDETERMINED ERROR
DADF69E4 0519094903 U H SYSINTR UNDETERMINED ERROR

Running diagnostics produces:

A PROBLEM WAS DETECTED ON Mon May 19 11:21:13 EET 2003 801014

The Service Request Number(s)/Probable Cause(s)
(causes are listed in descending order of probability):

652-880: The CEC or SPCN reported a non-critical error. Report the SRN
and the following reference and physical location codes to your
service provider.
Error log information:
Sequence number: 12864
Ref. Code: B0061406 FRU: n/a n/a

All power supplies are fine and there is currently no impact to the system. All appears to be running fine, save for the error report messages.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Jason

I spoke with an IBM CE a few months ago about problems the 6m1's were having with the system planers. You might want to give hardware support a call. Just to be safe.

BFE4C025 :
I think the error label is SCAN_ERROR_CHRP ...

SCAN_ERROR_CHRP - a failure reported via periodic scan of NVRAM (non-volatile RAM)

----------------------------------------------------------

DADF69E4 :

The messages probably occur due to the drivers ability to handle multiple interrupts per I/O. Here is how to disable reporting of the SYSINTR error (ID DADF69E4 which can be confirmed using the errpt command).

=DADF69E4 enter
Report=False enter

Thanks guys. I have placed one each of hardware and software calls and neither could resolve the issue. Will now consider running a slow boot with the diagnostics CD...

The system checklist for problem resolution includes:
1. Updating the system firmware
2. Checking for I/O software updates and, finally,
3. Replacing the primary I/O backplane.

Will have IBM replace this now... Thanks guys :)
