6509 all copper and fibre ports "not connected"

Hi all. Had a post last week, router stuck in ROMON.Thanks all

Same device, brought it out of storage as new data centre ready.

Had this configured and working 4 months ago, and nothing but grief since.

Currently have 48 port ethernet, 10/100/1000 and one 24 port fibre. & SUP720 all up and running

both modules are online, show mod displays all OK
all ports are enabled.

plug my pc into ANY copper port, and it just does not connect
no green light on blade.
After several minutes, message on console to the effect.
"Power delivered on port, ok but not connected"
I disabled inband or inline power but no change.


same with all the fibre ports, have a 2950 GBIC with a 10 foot patch(crossed over) no green light.
Take that 2950 across the street to the 6513 and it comes up in a second!


There seems to be some global setting that is stopping layer one ?

Any thoughts?

First thing comes out of my mind is the interface may be in shutdown status.
If it is not, go to that interface config mode anyway and give "shutdown" then type "no shutdown" again. Sometimes toggling helps.

Do a show interface status and post back here what it says . You may have to post the config minus any relevant addresses if you want help . If you have all gree lights on your cards the hardware is fine and its a config issue.

Placed the blade in slot 2 in the 6513 still the same.
Slot 1 is OK
ALL copper ports are OK, now just this fibre blade
Any thoughts?
