Hello;

The situation is our current Admin Assistant (AA) got a promotion and need to keep her extension 2364. She currently has a 6424D+, fully programmed for her to do her job. Now, she needs the new AA to take over her old role, along with her 6424D+. The new AA's extension is 2416.

So, I need to have the new AA with her extension (2416 from 2364) on the 6424D+. Programmed the way it was with the previous AA.

I also need to move the extension (2364)to the 6408D+ . In other words, swap extensions and maintain current programming.

I need help with the terminology and the theory so I can go about doing this. I have included both current station listings:

Thanks in advanced . . .

Duplicate both stations to available station numbers. (ie: dup station 2364 to 1234, dup station 2416 to 5678).

Write down the ports to both 2364 and 2416.

Remove both stations 2364 and 2416.

Dup station 1234 to 2416 and dup station 5678 to 2364. Enter the ports for the approprate station.

Quoting only proves you know how to cut and paste.

Getting this straight before I start;

duplicate station 2416 to 2445 <-- empty x
duplicate station 2364 to 2447 <-- empty x

remove station 2416 --- noting PORT:
remove station 2364 --- noting PORT:

duplicate station 2445 to 2364
duplicate station 2447 to 2416

. . .display the stations and modify their ports, unplug phones and plug back in.

Looks right.

Looks like you have the extension information printed out already, which is a good backup plan as well.

ran into 2 hiccups . . . . I "exceeded subscriber number of ports" so I had to find 2 stations and remove them.
Then, I ran into "Extension must be removed from Intra-switch CDR before change or removal" --- I don't know how to deal with that. It occurred when removing both of the extensions after having been duplicated. I cannot go further.
