Hi,

I have a customer that just migrated from a Merlin Majix to an IP 500V2. The old Majix system would let them enter "any" account code for a outside call, and that code would be captured via SMDR for billing purposes, to the existing call accounting system. The IP Office will not accept "any" code, rather it has to be an account code that is defined in the account code registry within the configuration file. The problem I have is that the customer has about 6000 account codes and that exceeds the "recommended" number of codes supported via the IP office. Does anybody know of a solution for cost recovery within the IP office via account code entries?, Third party maybe?

what about using codes with * in them. from the help file:

· Account Code
Enter the account code required. The code can include alphabetic characters for users dialing via Phone Manager. It can also include wildcards; ? matches a single digit and * matches any digits.

Thanks Kevin,

I was aware of that and although that does allow for any account code to be used, the CLI function for dialed numbers is lost. Thank you for your reply though.

Take care,
Dan
