Hello all,
I am having an issue with 3 5621 ip sets, I have load the vpn software on the phones, have connected them to the system to verfy they work properly, customer has a sonicwall vpn router, followed step by step tich tip 190 on setting the phone and router with help of there IT personal, now the fun stuff, I have all 3 phones at my office plugged in 1 phone will work and the other 2 will not, it will setup the vpn and show it connecting the go thru the tftp, after that the phone will say discover 192.168.130.125 (the ip add of the IP Office), unplug the phone working and reboot the others, one phone will work, I am need of help.

I assume you are trying to log all phones in with the same VPN credentials, you can't, they need there own login :)

So I need a different name and psk key for each phone? Just need the right info for the it guy

You have two kind of credentials
1 Group name and psk
2 username and psk

The groep name and psk can be used for all the phones but each phone should have there own user name and password.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I had there IT setup users and seperate passwords, I enter them in the IKE ID and the PSK, it now says there is and error and the psk does not match, is there a different area I need to enter the user ID and password?

I think I found the issue, you need a mobile VPN license per device(IP Phone), the sonicwall tz170 only comes with 1, the reason why only 1 phone works, will post another update after the IT dept installs the licenses

sad thing is the "phoneman" has to find the issue

found the true issue, after firmware upgrade to the sonicwall, still issues, we put the phones on differnt networks and bingo, the sonicwall doesnt like to have vpn clients on the same network.

> the sonicwall doesnt like to have vpn clients on the same network.

then you need to be operation the VPN phone in Config Mode in order to obtain a virtual IP address from the Sonic Wall VPN DHCP IP Pool
