Just added some new 5610 phones. Two of the phones work, but the screens are blank. All of the other phones are running 2.9 software, but these are running 2.3, if it makes a difference.

Phone server = memory card. Http and tftp set to ip control unit ip address. 46xxsettings.txt and 46upgrade.scr files on in the Primary folder.

When phones reboot, screens are blank and remain in 2.3 software.

Getting these two replaced.

is the phone on the same network as the IPO? its not upgrading. i dont think it is the phone. do you have the file server address in the phone set to the IPO

Yes on same network. Yes tftp and http set to IPO control unit ip address. Once the http server address was put in, the HTTP 901 error went away. The phones stay on 2.3 and never upgrade. BTW, other phones DID upgrade, so I have to assume that setting are correct, otherwise they would not have upgraded to 2.9. Just these two phones refuse to upgrade and the screens are blank.

I had a couple do this yesterday onsite. i havent played with them yet to see why. in the phone whats the file server address set to?

Sorry, boxed the phones up, sending back for replacement. Took two phones out of empty cubicles and moved forward. Spent too much time messing with them.
