5610 ip phone remote hookup

Can I hook up a 5610 remotely without a VPN to the IPO 403 3.2?
I am told to assign public IP to the phone? What do I do in the manager to make the phone come up?

You would be well advised to reconsider and use a VPN. You might get it to work - if you are extremely lucky and if you are even more lucky -it might continue to work.

I personally would not expose an IPO office to the internet, without a firewall or NAT at the very least; but it is your network!
