I have one site running 5610 VPN phones. If the internet connection connected to the IP Office goes down, making the host unreachable to the VPN phones, how long will the VPN phones continue to try to re-establish their VPN connection before giving up? After giving up, what will the phones be doing? Is the give up time adjustable?
We have another site running a 5610 IP phone (non-VPN) connected back to the main site using a hardware VPN. If this VPN connection goes down, how long will the IP phone look for the IP Office unit? After giving up, what will the phone be doing? Is the give up time adjustable?
We have a customer who's main internet connection goes down quite a bit (construction close by) and it gets annoying having to call the remote users to ask them to unplug and plug back in their phones, so it would be great to be able to adjust this. If not, it would be nice to at least know how much time we have.
Thanks!
