We are starting a hot desk situation, where several users will lose there fixed desk.
We want them to be able te logon and logoff with there current user/extention.
When we dial the shortcode *36 we get a message that states "denied" or "refused" (it is in dutch and says: geweigerd).
We also have 5610SW IP phones which can be logged of using the menu: that works fine, but if i try the logoff code *36 there it gives the same message.
The shortcode *36 activates the function "Toestel Logout", which means "device logout".
There is a function Extn Login, but i cannot find Extn Logout so i guess it is the "toestel logout" function in dutch.
Does anyone have a clue how to solve this?

Do you have login codes set on each user that you want to be able to log out and back in?

The user i am using now has an extention and a password if that is what you mean.

When the user does not have a login code set it cannot log out of the phone.
So try that first.

Hier ook een Nederlander :)

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Hi tlpeter,

actualy i am flemish.
The guy who previoesly did avaya at our company installed everything in dutch so i don't know wat a 'login code' is.
If it refers to the "password" you neet to type when you log on to the phone i can confirm that does not solve my problem.

If it is something else, please provide me with a screenshot so i can see where to configure it in the dutch version of the manager.

I really hope you can help me.
Thanks

Right click on the Manager shortcut.
Look for "Doel"
It should say;
"C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Manager\Manager.exe"

Now just add -locale:en-US behind the ...\Manager.exe" click on toepassen and retry...:)

Thanks a lot guy's.
First of all i've now got an english IP Office Manager instead of a crappy dutch translation.

And second: users can now logoff.

Next question: i would like to configure that when hot desking people are not logged on, everything gets forwarded to their cell phones (the hot desking people are salesmen).
Right now it goes right to their avaya voicemail or, when no voicemail configured, it just gives an occupied tone.

You need a twinning licence for every user you would like to have it fwd.

Then tick the option twin when logged off on the mobility tab.

Thanks Bas1234
This works perfectly.
We have enough twinning licences for the users who use this feature.

All works well now.
Thank you all for helping me out!
