Hi all
I faced with this problem .

I have computer with asus mother board and NIC realtek , this computer randomly disconnect from network but I have ping from my 555o ip console.take care just my computer lost ping and 5550 is ok.
I installed a fresh windows xp sp3 and installed NIC driver update and I change all cables , and connect the wire directly to mxe.
but this computer keeps ping lost and disconnect 5550 application(last version installed).

just my pc lost ping and and if I continue pinging the NIC will came back to work.I tried with 3com NIC but problem still exist.
forget about my console damage or my network switch because I have this problem on 2 computer .

Have you tried to disable all the power settings on the NIC card?

BIOS updated?
NIC driver latest?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

BIOS NO

LAN DRIVER YES

Could be many things, you dont give much detail.
Is the PC plugged in the back of the console
How are the network ports set up,same as a phone etc
Assuming you have vlans, how do you route between them.

Try explaining a little more about your set up.
Versions etc are always useful

as I said:
1.no vlan
2.my network switch is simple one like switch layer 2.
3.yes plugged back of console.
4.this case a computer with asus motherboard and onboard or external NIC(3COM),I checked both of them.
while my operator working , I lost ping packet and I get request time out but I have my console ping in the same time , I changed my cables.but I do not know why !!!! my computer disconnect yourself from my network.

I deselect power saving in computer.
auto negotiations.
separate my console cable from data switch and connect it directly to mxe.
Installed fresh windows xp sp3.
lan driver updated.

console static ip:192.168.1.242 (assigned by mitel DHCP)
computer static ip :192.168.1.245

MXEIII on rel 9.0 are you sure?

Have you tried plugging the PC and keypad power adapter in to a UPS?

Make sure your ports are set to auto negotiation on the switch and check on the switch logs that this is negotiating to 100Mb Full duplex, Also the PC should be Auto neg.
You could also try putting the console in a separate network port from the console this would prove any problems that are being caused by the auto neg.
There may also be an option on the NIC on your pc's called TCP offload, try turning this off if you still have issues after the above.

Hi boycey9
as I said I configured it on auto neg.
but please tell me where is the TCP OFFLOAD?
