5550 ip console critical alarm beeping

Good afternoon, is there a way to prevent the 5550 on a 3300 MCD4.2 to beep on critical alarms without modifying the thresholds?

I have to reboot a not yet live controller in a cluster in order to test resiliency scenarios, and of course everytime it drives the receptionist crazy. Thanks in advance!

Critical alarms do not beep as far as I know.

More than likely you have an emergency call notification active.

Look for the Red Cross icon to view and clear the notification

The console does beep when a Critical alarm is active on the system.

About Alarms
Your telephone system uses automatic monitoring and fault diagnosis to check the system for faults.

An alarm status appearing in the upper-right corner of the screen notifies you when a fault occurs. When there are no faults, this area is blank. If a critical alarm occurs, you'll hear a recurring beep.

The alarm display is cleared automatically when the fault is corrected.

Is it the keypad or the PC that beeps. Quick solution in my thinking is if its the PC then would muting the speaker silence the alarm?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I just double checked and unfortunately it is the keypad that is beeping! ... Is there even a way to change the threshold on ICP comms alarms?

Set threshold ICp Com N N N will disable the alarm
