5550 Ip consile not working 2

Hi all;

I Fcae a problem in installing new 5550 Ip console. I've done the 3300 progrmae first the connect the keypad and install the software for the console itself.
and I done the configuration wizard and it's succefully connected to the 3300.
but for more than hour left downa side at the software screen it's showing configuring Keypad.

I'm use 3300 with Rls 8.5.12
and for 5550 console 3.3.1.3

so that any Idea how to make it work.

Did you enable DHCP??? take a look in " Lease Viewer ", and try connectivity with " PING ".

Thanks, yes it's not enabled.
but now the light of the Key pad is going of befor it was red.
can you kundly tell me the Keypad light well be on whic status or colur if it's going to work

Hi, no light, it´s OK now try with " ping " and you should receive response from the IP assigned to the console and will work.
I always assign a Static IP to console from DHCP.

I had issues a while back that were caused by Java. In short here is what I experienced.

1. Install 5500 ip console software
2. Then update java runtime....didnt work.

Went to another computer and

1. upgraded java runtime first
2. then installed 5500 ip console software...worked.

So then, I went back to my original pc and..

1. Uninstalled 5500 software
2. ran java update again.
3. reinstalled 5500 software.....worked


Before doing this I would recieve the "configuring keypad" status message and then nothing else. After doing this, it corrected my issue.

Hi Chnipe;

appriciated your Note. yesterday there is a java masseage appear to me but i didn't care of it.
and yes the console giving me configuring Keypad because it's can't upgrade it's firmware.

Yes, reboot it - it will do it on bootup every time.
