Hi All

Anyone experienced a 5550 IP console loose connectivity intermittently? That is 20 plus times a day and each time, the application switches to night mode and logs in MXe indicate network connectivity loss.

Problem started last week, and all was working fine for weeks since SW upgraded in Mxe to MCD 4.0 Sp1 in decemeber (I believe) and client app was upgraded accordingly at the same time.

Continuous Ping (x.x.x.x. -t) between PC and console or PC and MXe, doesn't show any major latency or any drop outs. Console, PC and MXE on same vlan. No new apps added to PC to slow down resouces....

Quite odd....Any ideas where to look next?

I though of loading client app on a different PC

Site setup:
3300 MXe (MCD 4.0SP1)
5550 IP app (3.1.6.7)
PC, intel dual core 2GB, 2GB ram, win XP

cheers

Hi
I've 2-causes make the same problem like what you have,

1st cause it's becaus of the Firewall, that customer restart the computer after install new ESET and the ESET firewall.

2nd things you need to check the cable cord for the head set, it's lose the attendant will imedatly go to night mode (i've experince this many Times)

Regards
Ala'a

Thanks matey

I'd forgotten that disconnecting the hand piece or headset also switches the system to night mode.....I do have a headset attached, and more than likely the culprit (headsets always seem to cause trouble in one fashion or another!!!).

If that doesn't turn out to be the issue, then will turn attention to the PC

cheers and thanks again
