5410 phone wont connect to the IP office 403 3.1
IT says version 5.0 or something on the phone. Has the phone got the wrong software? How do I make it work on the current phone system?
it should be Release 2.00 you have the bin files in the manager directory and the system will need to supply it to the phone. Ensure that the working directory is set to hte manager directory.
Start Manager and plug in the phone, you can watch in the TFTP log if the files get uploaded.
Thanks for that, I tried logging into Manager and plugging the phone into a port on the main unit. I watched the TFTP logs. It didn't work. How do I ensure that the working directory is set to the manager directory?
Do I need to reboot the system with the phone pluged in and the mgr up?
You need to also ensure that the systems TFTP server address is that of the PC running Manager, it's under the System tab, also turn your firewall off on the PC (even just temp while it goes about it's business)
Tried changing the ip of the TFTP server under system tab to be the same IP of the machine with manager on it. Turned off the windows firewall on the machine. Plugged back in with the same result.
Any other ideas?
