5410 won't work on intended system

I have an exisiting ip500 V1 with 5.0.15. I tried to add a 5410 (refurbished) to the system. It had fireware 2.0 and needed an upgrade. The client does not have a pc with Manager and I could not get their system to pull tftp from my new netbook. Brought 5410 back to the office and upgraded on ip500 v2 with 6.1.5. No problem loading the 6.0 firmware. Works like a champ.

Took it back to the client's office and I still get "Please wait..." Their other 5410s work fine. And the 5410 still works fine at my office.

Now, 5410 use the same 6.0 firmware for 5.0, 6.0, and 6.1. If I try to run TFTP on my netbook, I get the message in TFTP log that it is unable to send firmware. Monitor says TFTPReader fail (Code 1). On my netbook, I have firewall and av disabled, and DEP is turned on. I have tried with and without ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES in No User.

Thoughts?

have you got the TFTP server address on the customer system set to the correct IP address?? ie your netbook?

Yes. It is set with the address. I see tftp activity in both tftp log and in monitor.

To save a lot of long term hassle buy a cheap cf card
i have seen 64mb cards beeing sold as clearance for 50P!
put the card into the IPO & copy all the files there, That way if you ever need to swap a handset that fails you will not have these problems.

5410's firmware is 6.0 as from 5.0.18. So that's why it's trying to downgrade to 5.0 firmware on your 5.0.15 IP500v1.

So I would follow IPGuru's advise on the CFcard and solve this problem once and for all.

Or upgrade the system to 5.0.26 (the greatest and latest at the moment)
