I have Pix 515-UR with working DMZ.

Just installed a 2nd network card into my Pix to create a 2nd DMZ. On re-booting the Pix came up fine, recognised the new card and by default disabled it. No problems I thought but in doing so it seems to have killed of any traffic on my original DMZ. Traffic was ok between inside and outside though.

Removing the card and re-booting got things going again.

Any ideas why this is stopping the original DMZ from working?

HI.

The pix orders the interfaces by numbers, by their phisical hardware placement:
outside=0
inside=1
dmz=2

I guess that the interface card got the number 2 and "pushed" the original dmz to number 3:
outside=0
inside=1
new-nic=2 (But it will now be named "dmz")
dmz=3 (Which will be named now "intf3")

A simple reconfiguration should solve this, or you can use the new interface for dmz and the original interface as the additional one since the existing configuration will relate to the new interface instead of the older one.

Thanks Yizhar, as you said, the original DMZ had moved to the new card.
