Without going out to each remote site, how do I check to see if the tunnels are up while logged into the headquarters 506? Below are the configs from the headquarters 506 and one remote site - BCL 4, a 501. If I needed to redo the tunnels what commands would I use? Our Cisco Engineer is on a 3 week vacation and we need to get 10 tunnels up. He had programmed most of the 501's and the 506, but as we drop the 501's in at remote sites we are not getting them to come up. I am somewhat familiar with the 501's, but am considered a novice at best. Any help would be appreciated.

for starters:

sho cry is sa
sho cry ip sa

shows you the tunnels and traffic within

if the state is QM_idle with the sho cry is sa command your tunnel exists. (Intended traffic might not be going through it if the access lists are wrong though.)

I get 0 for Total and 0 for embryonic when I did the show cry is sa.

Since I am changing the IP address on the internal interface of each of the 501's, I will need to recreate the tunnels. Looking at my configs above, can someone write me the commands to delete the existing tunnels and bring them back up as new tunnels. I am assuming something will need to be done at the 506 and its respective 501.

1)change the corresponding bcl-#-tunnel ACL to match the remote addresses. Add the new line, delete the old.
2)change the NONAT ACL to include that traffic.
(On both the 501 and 506)

3) save configs and reboot the devices. There is a clear command you can use to clear/refresh the IPSEC connection, but I forget what it is.

It helps to have someone at the remote who can at least power cycle the pix as there are ways to lock the pix up if the VPN configuration gets messed.

I had zero experience with these things up until yesterday. My company manages over 150 tunnels for various clients and my Cisco Engineer went on haitus. If someone could list the commands that I need to enter by looking at my configs above I would greatly appreciate it. I no how to login, change ip's, etc. but have no idea what access lists are, nor do I understand the isakamp... stuff.
