I can't logon to the Exchange IM server I've setup. I get the "The person logged on to this computer does not have permission to use the specified email address" error. When I check the log on the IM server there is a 502 response code.

I know there's a bunch of Knowledge Base articles on this issue but I've been through all of them and nothing helps. Everything is configured as it should be, I've got the latest service packs, dns service records, etc..

Any ideas on what the problem is? I've tried everything I can think of...

Try this. Change the email address from usid@domain.com to usid@computername.domain.com. If this did not work then get your DNS server for your IM virtual server by Right click on your IM virtual server -> Properties. put the whole name of your DNS server after usid@.
