Once again I am up against something that I thought would be simple. Is it possible to use embdedded file management to upload a new MOH WAV file or can that only be done via TFTP on a 500V2? I can upload new MOH files to 500V1 units via EFM and it works fine, but I get "read only files cannot be overwritten" when trying to upload HoldMusic.wav to the system/primary folder. File writer address is set correctly in Manager.

Am I incorrect in assuming that I should be able to delete and/or overwrite the holdmusic file on the embedded card in a 500V2 on R7?

take the card out, format it in a pc / laptop with manager and re-create it.... then try again!

Sometimes a reboot of the IPO will help with this.

I knew that was coming but was hoping someone would tell me that there was some magic invisible check box I was missing. :) I tried it on a couple other 500V2 systems, including one that is new out of the box and get the same thing. Interestingly enough if I put the file in the Manager folder and reboot the IPO, the file gets downloaded and is copied to the card.

My SD card reader took a crap a few weeks back. Looks like its time to run to the store and get a replacement.

The format/recreate of the SD card didn't fix the issue. However, what I found that if the IPO downloads holdmusic.wav from Manager/TFTP, the file gets marked as read only and can't be deleted or overwritten using embedded file management, but can be deleted from my PC. If I put the file on the card either using my PC or with EFM, then I can delete it and overwrite it using EFM.

Not exactly the news I was hoping for. My plan was to upload the customers new MOH file without having to hope/pray that the file would transfer via TFTP over the not so good VPN connection I have to the site.
