5000 blocking # using CID 1

Can I block a specific # coming into a Mitel5000 or could I use a CRT to send it to a phantom VM. Customer is receiving harrassing calls from a number and would just like it blocked from the secretaries having to answer the call.
 
I believe you can use Call Routing Tables for this. I've never had to program this but it looks like it will do the trick.
 
You can route calls in Call Routing Tables based on source area code, but I don't think you can use a specific 10 digit number. I do Caller ID based hangups (blocking) via CCS (now CSM) Intelligent Router. If the site does not have CSM, I would ask the carrier if they can block that specific number.

Some endpoints models have the soft buttons, which could be used to transfer the calls to a hangup CRA without them having to answer or speak to the caller.
 
You can route based on a specific CLI, not just area codes etc, we do it to route calls from one of our DDIs the the modem for programming :)

Set up a Call Routing Table set as Outside Party Number, enter the the number you want to block as a received number, send it to a CRA that just hangs up.

In the same call routing table set up two entries for E and + that route to your normal Call Routing Table.

Route the Trunk Group to the new Call Routing Table.

Done!
