I know this is a pretty novice question - can I build a 500 port and give it a callpilot mailbox?

The situation is a user currently has a typical TDM 3904 set w/ a mailbox and they have requested to instead use a 3rd party cordless phone (but keep voicemail)

Thanks for any feedback.

FDN (FNA) and HUNT to VM should be good to go...

also if you have a spare jack, he/she can have both.... don't need to out the 3904.

lots of people have a similar setup but they have a POLYCOM (analog line) with the same extension setup as their desk-phone......

I do have a spare jack and I think having both sets with the same extension would be the exact setup that this user would want... they would have a visible lamp for VM etc.

How would I set that up?

Thanks for the replies.

make up a new 500 tn and when you get to the DN prompt use the same # as his key 0 and add any additional feature they might want (DTN for digitone...) etc....in the CLS
same NCOS tgar as the phone.... but don't MARP (if you are asked if you want to MARP) that way the 3904 will be in control of forwarding features.
