5.2.0 to 5.2.1 upgrade

Did this upgrade last night. After it was done. Applied PCN1690P patches. The KERNEL patch locked up and would not complete the update_commit. Kept saying I must have root permission to complete the command. Then further testing showed that the embedded voicemail had been completely removed from the S8300C server.

I assume we will have to completely re-install the message server.

Since you are alrady at Release 5.2.0 AVAYA has provided a new procedure to do patch management. Using update_commit and all those update_... commands are not nceessary anymore.

Go to your WEB Administration... and look for
Server Upgrades
Manage Updates
