We have a director that wants to run the 46XX series hardphones wirelessly? Anyone tried this yet? Is there a wireless adapter that will plug into the RJ45 jack???

Thanks all,
CJH

Not that i am aware of. You can get a wireless headset, but i will tell you that we have had wireless headsets on ip phones and there were some quality, humming and hissing issues.

You just can use a wireless bridge and connect it with short cable to the phone.

Sounds like more of a cabling/network issue than a phone issue. i.e. not having a cable in the right spot where the director wants the phone. Since the Director wants to avoid the easy out of using EC500, you could rig a backpack with a UPS, the wireless bridge, and the phone. Then the director could walk whereever he/she wants looking like Radar O'Reilly.

There are enough solutions for this. But what about your QoS on a wireless connection? I wouldn't give any guarantees to this director when it comes to voice quality.
