Hi Guys,

I have been searching Avaya's website for a while and have given up and come the best place for avaya info!

I am looking for a admin guide on configuring the 46xx.txt files as I want to configure phone groups with different access etc.

Does any one have a working link to such a guide?

Thanks

IF $GROUP SEQ 1 GOTO GROUP1
IF $GROUP SEQ 2 GOTO GROUP2

ETC ETC

Put in the settings you need for a certain group or phone model (change $GROUP in $phone model)

Thanks, is there a guide to what settings you can set within the txt file?

Do you know how I would lock a particular phone group down so that the phones could not be used unless an agent was logged in?

Ideally I want the phones in group 2 to be completely restricted, so I know to put IF $GROUP SEQ 2 GOTO GROUP2 at the beginning but then further down under #GROUP2 what would be the setting?

What does this mean?
SET OPSTAT 111

Thanks (sorry for all the questions)

Why not just do this with COR? Assign COR 0 (or whatever your lowest COR is) to the extension, and when the agent logs-in, their COR will then be in use so they can make calls. When they log-off the phone will go back to 'restricted'...

Ps. Remember to modify the COR though, so they can at least dial 911 if it's a requirement.

Thanks,

The LAN Administrator Guide is the correct reference however you may want to go to the Avaya Support Site and download a newer version.

The GROUP sequence is shown clearly in the Admin Guide. Unfortunately not all the various sequence options are as clearly defined.

Below appears to be the latest.
