I'm having a problem with our 4690 Conference Phone. It will keep on "Registering" and will not prompt me into entering the extension number. Even after rebooting the phone over and over again, I'm still receiving the same results. Then I removed one of the working 4690 Phone to test if the other one was defective. After plugging the new phone, the result was still the same. Then I returned the working 4690 phone to its original place, this time, the it also didn't work. We now have two 4690 Phone that are continuously "Registering". We also checked the DHCP and there are still available IP addresses. Also, when I used an ordinary IP Phone, it was working fine. Please help me on this. Thanks in advance.

sounds like you need to check your settings file.

check the following setting

SET PROCSTAT

How can I check the "set procstat"? I've seen it in the 46xxsettings.txt file. How can I change settings on this? Thanks.

Try backing the one of the sets down to firmware v1.770 and see if that helps. Avaya had me do that when I experienced a similar issue and it was corrected by the down rev.

This is a known issue with the 4690 phones. You'll find that when you statically assign the IP address the phone won't allow the input of the address manually the phone freezes. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I've had all sorts of problems with them. I think the only thing they're good for is as projectiles.
