I have a 4621sw set that won't register to the One-x G10.
I get the extension and passwaord, I put them in and I get
unauthorized.
I have downloaded the bin files and the text file, but I just can't get the phone to show up on the G10 web page.
Is there something that I am missing.
The firmware on the G10 is 6.1.2.

Thats the problem how do I get the 6.1.2 software on the the phone if I can't get it to show up on the G10.

I don't know what the current release is on the phone 4621sw
set. But I did download the SIP bin file and the boot file and text file.

Dose it need the 6.1.2 on the phone also and if so, how do I get it on the phone.

Is there any other software that I'm missing on 4621sw set.

You do not need to upgrade thru the gateway. When you first started the phone it probably asked you to build a site. Just leave that one phone connected and your pc to a POE switch. Change the IP on your PC to match network of the phone. Start the upgrade wiz from avaya downloads. It should upgrade the phone. If it did create a second site, you will need to unregister before you can add it to your working site. After it is unregistered, plug it into the working site. It should pop up and ask if you want to add it. I have been getting some phones with the old software on them, they don't play nice with the newer 3.0 software.

I found what my problem was. I was use the wrong phones.
The phones I need to use need to be marked with a One-X
sticker on the back.
I was told even though the phones I used 4621sw and 4610sw
are the same as one-x phone, they need to have the eprom programmed from the factory with the one-x software.

you just can't put the software on the phones ????

As I understand it, if you want One-X, you have to buy a One-X phone. You can load the ipo files to them, if you upgradde in the future, but no one has said if you can load One-X software to the IPO phones.

That is correct you can not load One-X files on a phone.
I talked with Avaya engineer and they said it needs to be
set up in the factory. The phone I bought will have to be sent back and they are going to send out a 4621sw with
One-X softwareloaded on the phone.

I think the One-x is a great product for small bussiness
and it has some nice features.

Yes, but 1 drawback is, No BLF. Even an old 1a2 can do that. Some potential customers were lost for that reason.

Also, no phantom mailboxes is a problem for a few (small few) customers.
