4621 Backlight 1

I have a client which mostly has 4620's. Now the sets i am getting for repiars & adds are 4621's, i do not want the 4621's to stand out with the backlight on. i know of the MUTE off # command to turn off the light but it comes right back on. is there a command or a change in the 46xx txt to turn the light off for good??

You need to modify the 46xxsettings.txt file for those phones.

The section you are looking for looks like this:

Unfortunately the closest you're going to get is 1 minute. The backlight will turn off after 1 minute of inactivity.

The documentation I have says you can adjust the idle timer which will turn off the backlight after inactivity or you can set it to stay on always.

It doesn't mention any setting you can use to turn it off always.

Yeah i figured as much, well i'm gojng to 4.0 in 2 weeks, so i'll just put them in thier own group & turn the light off that way.
