does anyone have had this issue before?
any help?

ok now is working but i have a different issue......
while im trying to upgrade my ip-phones it give me an error on while is looking for the tftp
everything is configured right and i double check the configuration
the tftp server is running
but it give´s me that there is an unknonw error
any clue?
You may have the wrong bin or app file the scr file is pointing to. Either a corrupt version or older version. If this only happens on one set...you may have a bad set. Restart the phone and make sure the app file it loads (before hitting the TFTP) is correct and matches.
ok i am using the latest version of the firmware upgrade 46xx_111004 and all the files that come with the package
just unzip those files to a directory and setup the tftp to the unziped address
then i see on the phone that is loading the bin b20d01a2_1_3.bin
then its trying to reach an http server
at this point i dont have any error
then it tries to reach the tftp server and have the unknown error
4620 phones

Can you see the log of the tftp server? Is the server ip address correct? I used to(during my VoIP trial) have my tftp server on my desktop and it lost its ip addy lease! None of my phones would up date and the tftp program still read my old ip. I had to reboot my tftp server application to fix it, then input the new ip...gotta love dhcp
no actually theres no log on the tftp server and already double check the ip-address and it is correct but i still getting the same error
try running the tftp server on different computer, different ip re-configure the telephone but still having same issue.
any other clue?
thanks
I would check the folder the tftp is pointing to. Also the port. If you are on the LAN there should not be a reason to block port 69. The tftp will send out on a high UDP port. It sounds like the phone updated but may be corrupt. Either the phone was unplugged during the intial boot or it did not flash the correctly. 2.13 is the latest bin...so you are good to go...but it may have corruption. I would say possibly editing the *.scr file but it isnt even retrieving that...
When you unzipped the files it leaves some files in subfolders bring everything to one level.
This worked on my 4630 IP phoneswith a similar problem.
the later revision of phones don't have the problem
but the phone still not contact the TFTP server
already check and port 69 and is not blocked
i have to phones
one it trys to reach one http server with no luck and the other one it just stays on discovering...
As a note, when you download he 26mb file from avaya, it does not have the 46XXsettings.txt file. you have to download that separately and copy it to your TFTP directory where your code is.
