4620 IP phone - blank screen after load

Hi There

Basically:
Plug Station in
Phone starts to pick ip settings from network which can be seen on the phone display
eventually phone gets to the log in extension page
enter new extension#
enter password#

On entry of the final # the screen then goes blank.

The phone is still live as I can ring but no display on the screen.

Any thoughts - cheers

some hints:
Wrong software version on IP Office or in the phone?
VPN connection?
Firewall?
 
How do I check the software on the phone so I can match it to a phone that works.

Did you buy it from ebay?

I know three different resellers who have bought some from ebay and the screens dont work despite our most valiant efforts.

Source of the phone is unknown as I'm new to this Company. I have read the thread regarding the "Ebay Purchase". I do believe they were legit source.

Then you def need to look at what sw version your system is running, you can check this in the manager program under control unit.

Make sure you manager suite is the corresponding version to the core sw on the IPO.

Read the IP phone installation doc and check that the phones are downloading the correct files for the level of sw the IPO is running. If the manager suite is the corresponding version for the system it will have the right files in the manager directory.
