Howdy all,

Got a wierd one here, I got two 4612IP's on a G3 HW VER 3 MEDpro's and clan's and phones are all on the latest greatest firmwares. My issue is these two phones were working fine for years and after a reboot on the system these two extension will not register with the phone system anymore. I have tried these EXT on different phones with the same result. I can use any other extension on the two phones in question no prob's. I deleted the extensions from the phone switch. Rebuilt from scratch, still no dice. I deleted them then duped a known good ext. (Mine) and it still doesn't work. It's like this phone system doesn't like the numbers in the extension. The will just hang there at registering...... Anyclue whats up with this. I am not out of IP ports, I still have over 70 left to play with. I'm at a loss, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ED

also, I won't be able to reboot this sucker untill this weekend so if that is all this thing needs I will update that as I do it. But if there is anything I can try in the meantime. Right now I just gave them new extensions and forwarded their old ones to them.

Thanks,
Ed

is it DHCP? press hold+73738# reset it

and you can setup a soft phone test first.

It's not dhcp it pulls the Ip info fine. Between when it says "Registering" you can type in your "hold" codes. I tried the reset, I even hard coded the dang thing and it still hangs at registering. This one has really got me baffled. Thanks, though.

Just wondering if you resolved this? I am having same problem.

I did but your not going to like the answer. It only took a reboot and they magically started working agian. I am sorry I didn't post the resolution earlier as we have been in the process of upgrading this system to a 8710. Hopefully all my little glitches will go away with this system. Hope it works for you too!

I've several instances with different customers where all the IP stations were locked out. Nothing would register, and the only thing to fix it was a reset system 2.
This was only on traditional processors(r11 and below), and always an SI. Never happened with an R or S8xx server.
