Hello

Wondering if anyone else has run into this one before.

I am attempting to register some 4612 ip phones and am seeing in the display "system busy".

I have many 4612s already running in this network. When we first ran into this issue we decided to purchase an additional CLAN board for the system (TN799DP). After adding the new CLAN we were able to add 4 more 4612 stations before again getting "system busy" in displays.

I don't see how the system can be busy with the a new CLAN in there and we are statically assigning the phones to the new CLAN.
Unfortunately the Avaya docs say very little about the error other than stating that if you see that error then the system is busy or out of resources.

If anyone else has run into this please let me know how you resolved it.
Thanks

How many 4612's is "many"? And how many Medpro boards do you have?

We have about 30 4612s that have been running for over 2 years and we have 2 TN2302 Medpros in the system.

I can't imagine why with this many resources in the system and only 30 phones going, I would be getting a 'system busy'.
The only thing that I can state for sure is that overall it is a rather large system with several PNs and approx 3000 stations running.

FYI.....it is an older Definity not a communication manager release. The software we have running is
System: G3rV9 Software Version: R009r.05.0.122.2

I am starting to dig the firmware known issues for CLANs.

This is resolved. It ended up being a mismatch in RTUs on the capacity table.
There was a mismatch of values between what is seen for "system wide registration counts" and what is under "current registration counts by product ID"

We engaged our avaya rep and they corrected it. It seems that the last couple of times that we ordered RTUs for ip phones, the capacity was not updated correctly.
