hey guys,

i have a 4610sw ip set at a remote location that was working through a "site to site" VPN. for a couple of days it has not been working...dont know why?? we have the netgear fvs338 at main location and a FVS318 at the remote location. the VPN is up and running.

im trying to get the remote user to do a "mute clear" on the phone...which works...but i thought when you did that, it should ask you for an extension number to put on that phone??? well its not.

im a doing somehting wrong??

thanks

tried mute reset, but still kept extension number???

dont know what else to try?

press the option button and then go to log off

would i do the "log off" after i do the mute clear?

Is the headset turned on? then the mute reset or clear will not work.

You also could try to use the hold button instead of the mute. but leave the handset on the phone.

got it to work by doing the "mute clear" resetting the phone. after the phone reset, i pushed the "option" button and then pressed "log off" as per "tlpeter" then the phone prompted for a new extn number!!

thanks for the help
